Very sad to hear of Mrs. Okey's passing.
I first knew Mrs. Okey as a student at NPGHS - I was one who spent much of their spare time in the school library, so I got to know Mrs. Okey quite well!!
Later, we became neighbours for a time where she had a good view of my vegetable garden and would often cheer me on in my backyard endeavours.
Such a lovely, caring soul of whom I will always hold fond memories of. Sincere condolences to her family. God speed Mrs. Okey, rest in peace.

Mrs Okey,
You were one of the most caring teachers l had at New Plymouth Girls High School. I will always remember your kindness, and determination to get the best out of us as a student.

May there be a game of scrabble in heaven, may there be gardens with lots of flowers, I know there's joy and peace and love, all around you Marion. I miss you but I'm happy for you in your new home.
