Marjorie Jean Elinor (Jean):
Peacefully at Woodrow Grove on Monday 19 October, 2015. Age 97 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Don. Loved Mum of Jim and Joce (Auckland), Tom and Jenny (Kawerau), Bruce and Jenny (Hamilton), Alison and John Vernon (Midhurst). Loved greatly by all her grandchildren: Sarah, Roy and Ruth; Elizabeth, David and James; Christopher, Samuel, Luke and Esther; Peter, Laura and Deanna and by her great grandchildren. Messages to 'The McDowall Family, c/- P.O. Box 4016 New Plymouth 4340. If any person wishes to visit Mum, then they may do so at Abraham's Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Friday, 23 October. Friends are invited to a service for Jean to be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Fitzroy, on Saturday, 24 October, at 11:00am, followed by a private cremation.

To Jean's family - a memory from my distant past, both Don and Jean were old friends of my late parents, Birdie and Ella Rowe, both of whom would have been 97 this year.
Sincere condolences to you all in your sad loss - no doubt you will have wonderful memories to share and fantastic stories which would have started "in my day....." "when I was your age ........"
