Mark HAYTHORNTHWAITE Obituary

Of Martinborough and Wellington. On 18th February 2026 at home after a long illness. Mark fondly known as Puddy Tat by dearly loved wife Susan. Loved brother and brother-in-law of David and Heather, Ursula and Michael van Niekerk (all of Cape Town).
Brother-in-law of Catherine, Sarah and Andrew, Jenny and Dave (all of Auckland). A loved uncle of his nieces and nephews in South Africa, Spain, USA and NZ. Surrogate Grandfather to Aarya, and Kiwi Dad to Santi. Sincere thanks to Dr Steve Philip, The Kahukura Palliative Care Team Ian Hamilton and Christine Webley for their wonderful care. A celebration of Mark's life will be held in St Andrew's Anglican Church, Dublin St, Martinborough, on Monday 23rd February 2026, at 11.30am, followed by private family burial at Martinborough.
