I have had the privilege of knowing Martin for well over 30 years. Both as a friend and through his remarkable gift as Bowen Therapist. Martin also lived with me while he rehabbed from his near death experience a few years back.

As I read all his tributes here and my personal experience, I realise that Martin improved peoples lives. And he touched the lives of so many of us in so many ways. It didn´t matter who you were, Martin always found time to chat. And so much knowledge to pass on covering such a broad range of topics, food, gardening, farming, horse racing, genealogy, sport, religion, cooking, crosswords but a few.

Also Martin was a real Onion, so many layers to the man. Even after 30 + years of Bowen I was often surprised when Martin revealed another part of his life I had never known about. Such a humble man always for one with so many talents. I never knew what a talented cyclist he was until one day he rode out to Okato and back to give me a Bowen treatment.

Martin, I´m still processing your passing now, hard to believe we´ll never see you again.

Thanks for your vital role in helping me to live the life I do.

I first met Marty outside Andromeda when i was 14, he told me then, i needed to check my feet. Over the years since then, thats always been our little joke.
Hi Meryl, hows your feet? (Roaring with laughter & that cheeky grin).
You bought so much light to so many people Marty, we wont forget you.

Martin and I were good pals a secondary school but sadly we didn't keep in touch when we left to join the big world. Martin was a good bloke then and all these years later he stayed true to form. I am deeply sadly that the world has been robbed of one of New Plymouth's finest.
Rest in Peace Martin.

To Martin's sons, Sisters & extended family we send our heartfelt condolences to you all at this most devastating time.
Our family had known Martin for close to 30 years, he was always so kind, thoughtful & a fantastic Bowen Therapist treated with gentleness.

One of our fondest memories was when Martin visited while in Neo-Natal with our son, born with a Disability & treated him at only a few weeks old & continued to over the years, so thankful & greatly appreciated.

Martin you'll be sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you.
Rest Peacefully.

Martin, a huge shock to see you go this way. I remember You at Francis Douglas College. A fantastic swimmer who would always left the others far behind. In recent years we always had a catch up conversation along Vivian Street. I will always remember your gentle approach. RIP Martin. Until we meet again. Mike Stachurski

So very sorry to family of Martin
My sincere condolences...
Martin was such a great healer... he helped me numerous times after an accident with my lower back.
He had a special way of relieving the pain... I always wondered why he´d leave the room after each movement... use to think, hope he hasn´t forgotten me. Anyway it was part of the Bowen treatment.
Loved to chat with Martin on our random meets, he was such a gentle soul. RIP Martin x
