Mary READING Obituary

Sending my love in memory of one special lady who I met when lived on a farm opposite Marjorie her sister & family at Paterangi many years ago.
Then later at Annie Brydon with her nephew. Kept in touch with her for some time. One delightful lady. So to Paul & family my love. Bev Albrechtsen. Was Mitchell when first met.

Mary I met when living across the road from her sister Marjorie and family at Paterangi in the Waikato.Years later caught up with her in her Villa at Annie Brydon. Her garden was beautiful and loved the poems and jokes she had out of papers and magazines.
Stayed in touch for a time also phoned at times then my circumstances changed so did not get to visit as would have liked. She was a beautiful lady. We are in New Plymouth was going to come to her funeral unfortunately was unable too, so to her son Paul and family & her nieces and nephews my love , Bev. [My surname in my youth was Mitchell.]

Many years ago I worked for George at the Auckland Telegraph Office and some years later Mary taught all three of my children at Bucklands Beach Primary school..

To Paul & Mary's relatives,
I remember the day Mary arrived from Auckland to live in Annie Brydon Village, she was like a breathe of fresh air. She said I am going to be very happy here & she fitted in well. I use to look forward to calling on Mary each day, a beautiful lady at rest.
