Maurice JONES Obituary

JONES, Maurice James:
Tragically as a result of a boating accident, on Sunday 6 December 2020, aged 63. Much loved partner to Robbie West, and Dad to Nick and Abby (Taranaki), Amanda, Matthew and Rebecca (Canada/Australia), and Stepdad to David, Shana and Shane. Loved only son of Betty and Paul Jones, and brother of Rae, Glenys and Lorraine, and former partner of Sharon. Crazy-Cool Pop-Pop Maurice to Mahea, Ahi and Pia Jones, loved Pop-pop to Robbies 14 grandchildren, father-in-law, uncle, nephew, brother-in-law, cousin, friend and buddy to many. Maurice/Jonesy lived and enjoyed a full and active life where he worked and played hard on his own terms. We will always remember the fun times and his endless antics and he will be greatly missed. A farewell will be held for Maurice at 1.00pm on Friday 11 December 2020 at the Scout Den, 5982 State Highway 27, Waharoa, Matamata.

So many memories from Mangawhero/Maata road Eltham, best neighbours ever. Lived life on the edge and always up to mischief, one of life's good buggers. Condolences to Paul, Betty and family. Accidentally drowned, 6 December 2020, aged 63. Loved only son of Betty and Paul Jones, Tauranga (formerly Eltham), and loved brother of Glenys, Rae and partner Keith, and Lorraine.
