We offer our deepest condolences to Lorraine and family at the loss of Maurice. I have lovely memories of Maurice from growing up on the next door farm. I last saw him 7 years ago at a celebration of Mum's 80th birthday - I had been overseas for years but he knew who I was and was engaging and interested in hearing about what had been happening in my life. My enduring memory is that he was always smiling!
Leone and Melville Smith send their condolences to Lorraine and family - unfortunately age and ill health has caught up with them too and they are not fit enough to actually attend the funeral. Please know they were there in spirit.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Though I did not see Maurice a lot since leaving Matau, I do have great memories of the days shared at Matau school and the times that I was made welcome when I visited their home there. A wonderful family who brought Maurice up to be the special man that he became.

To Lorraine and boys, so sorry for your loss. Our families have moved through life together from Matau to Morrie and Dad co-greenkeeping at the golf club. I have so many memories of Morrie, always smiling, kind and ready to help, popping in for a whiskey on Christmas morning and sharing a laugh. He will be very missed.
