Mavis PETERSEN Obituary
(nee Flay):
Passed away peacefully on Saturday 24 June 2023, in her 95th year. Loved wife of the late Ray. Much loved mother of her three sons, Brett (dec), Warren and Craig, and their respective wives. Much loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers a donation to Tainui St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may left at the service. Messages c/- 257 Devon Street East, New Plymouth 4310 or via email to [email protected] A service to celebrate Mavis' life will be held at the Tongaporutu Hall, Mokau Rd, Tongaporutu, on Thursday 29 June 2023 at 1.00pm, followed by burial at the Tongaporutu Cemetery.

Alan and I were sad to see that Mavis has passed away. Alan used to love his chats with Mavis when he dropped her paper off in the mornings. He always enjoyed the discussions that they had, she had such an amazing knowledge of the local history. Will be sadly missed. RIP - a life well lived.
