Dear Aunty Joan, Debbie, Phil, Maxine, John, Linda and families
Thinking of you all as you farewelled your loved Husband, Dad, Father in law, and Grandad and our Uncle. Uncle Max, our Amber & Black prop, the final whistle blew upon reaching your 89th try line. You decided it was time to hang up those boots and now free from any more pain. You were such a good kiwi bloke, old school to the core, with a cheeky smile and wonderful sense of humour. A voice that could fill up the room and belt out a good tune or two or three. Such a privilege to call that `legend´ my Uncle. Fly free and Rest in peace Max, your work here on earth is complete

Joan and family, my sincere condolences, for your loss of Max, "Kehu" as many of us new and called him by. Fond memories of him both working with him at IWD, but more importantly as our coach at Spotswood Old Boys for many seasons. Such a bloody good bloke and many fun times had with him, and trying his homemade wine etc. The team had great times with him as coach and I'm sure many of my team, mates of that era would be of the same opinion. RIP Max your will be sorely missed. Viv Wilson.
