Melda BUCKTHOUGHT Obituary

Our deepest sympathy to the Buckthought family with the passing of an amazing kind loving hard working mum such fond memories of Mrs Buckthought from the Kapuni days a great friend to mum and our whole family always so loving and caring.
Always spoilt Blair with the best breakfasts and made him part of the family when he worked for you´s much love and hugs to you all.

Melda to me will be remembered by her wonderful coffee cake, her kindness as a neighbour not only in Kapuni but also in Normanby.
One day when we left home in Normanby we came home to find we had accidentally left our garage door open. Very worried something had been stolen we looked around the garage to find two trays of biscuits had been left on our freezer (with the recipe). Yes you guessed right.....Melda had been as we had a new baby.
I still have her hand written recipes. Her kindness and gentle manner made her one of life's gems.

BUCKTHOUGHT, Melda Joy:
Dearly loved and respected Mum and Friend of Nic & Kevin (Inglewood), Much loved Nana Buck of Hayden and Lauren. My nana was the most caring, gentle soul you could come across. You could never leave nana's house without being overfed and something to take home with you. Staying the night at nana's meant being wrapped up so tightly in blankets you couldn't breathe because she never wanted you to be cold. Even as an adult, I'd often leave nana's house in one of her jerseys. I would say it's ok nana, I'm not cold.. but off she went to grab me a jersey to wear home anyway. Rest in peace nana, I love you and will cherish each and every memory I have of you. Love Lauren.
UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN Those special memories of you will always bring a smile, if only I could have you back just for a while. Then we could sit and talk again, just like we used to do. You always meant so very much, and always will do too. The fact that you're no longer here, will always cause me pain, but you're forever in my heart until we meet again.
