Although half a world away, friends immediately advised me that Merv and his dry sense of humour has become a memory. This reflects how his friends and I appreciated a style that was Merv. My condolences. Paul Graamans

The world has lost a great gentleman but it's heavens gain. We loved working with Merv at the council years ago and always respected his sage advice and enjoyed his sense of humour.
