Mervyn Lawrence:
Merv passed away suddenly on Monday, 11 January 2016, in the care of the fabulous team at Marinoto Rest Home Inglewood, aged 86 years. Loving and devoted husband to Marion (deceased) for 63 years. Proud, supportive and much loved Pop of Douglas (deceased), Dianne and Alan McGoff (England), Katrina and Kevin Knowles (Inglewood), Laurie and Jackie (Tikorangi). Loved and loving Poppa to Kirsty and James Haves, Bethany, Johanna (England), Hillary and Mark ( New Plymouth), Chris and Amy (Tariki), Craig and Alice (Egmont Village). Proud great-poppa to Lucas, Kellan, Jak, Zoe, Cody, Hannah, Kendall and Macy.
'Reunited with his darling Marion after just one
month apart'.
Last load delivered "X7 over and out".
We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating the life of an amazing, caring person in the Chapel of W. Abraham, 366 Devon Street East, New Plymouth on Wednesday, 20 January 2016, at 2.00pm followed by private cremation.

My memories of Merv was of rolled up shorts legs, no shirt and sandals doing the "town run" at Inglewood Motors. He knew everything that was going on round the district. No doubt one of Inglewoods characters and a much respected citizen, husband and father.
