Bowls Taranaki recall with fondness the efforts of Mike Clegg and his contribution to our sport and Centre. Mike had two stints on the Taranaki Board, each time bringing an enthusiasm for bowls in the south, his desire to promote the game and an ability to attract sponsors. He represented his own club, Hawera Park, and the wider province, with passion, the outcomes from which had, and still has, many beneficiaries. We thank you for all of your time and energy, Mike.

Sorry to hear the passing of a long time friend. Many memories of flying and the fun and frustration we had with our planes at the flying field not forgetting the yarns in the clubhouse. Special memories of our social times and watching your family grow up.

Condolences to Sue and family. Have known Mike for 35 years, we went to many sudden deaths together played in a team for the Leith Miles Bowls Tournament, and might have even had a sherry together. When Constables were allowed to come to Hawera straight from Police College lacking experience, he was instrumental in helping them with sudden deaths and the associated paperwork, holding many of the forms needed at his Parlour. Rest in peace Mike.

Sorry to hear of Michael's passing on Monday. Special memories of him when he bought honey from us and mum gave him a jar of pickled onions done in honey.
