I was shocked and saddened to hear about Mike. My heartfelt condolences go out to Mary and family and also my good friend Cath and the rest of the Seaver Clan. My Dad worked for Ben and growing up, when I wasn't at home I was at the Seavers house. They were like my second family. Mike always had a smile on his face and a laconic sense of humour and that is how I will remember him. Did a number of the bike pub crawls (on bikes he had loaned me). Lots of great memories Mike. We remember the guy with the biggest smile...ten years ago we were handed the keys to our new home we were so excited ... we left the house with the building company only to find we had left the keys inside...But yes you guessed it Mike to the rescue he saved us from breaking a window....and picked the door lock for us...what a guy he was to the Hawera Community...he will be missed RIP

Really sad played rugby with Mike in the Bolshie days he was a very good player and could kick goals from anywhere always enjoyed our conversations back then and since.Thoughts with Mary and the family.
