Michelle THOMPSON Obituary

Born on October 22nd, 1962 in Wellington, NZ, and was sent to her eternal home on November 28th, 2025 in New Plymouth. Michelle was the beloved and adored wife to the late Tony Thompson. Mother to Sam and Chad Thompson. She is survived by her loving mother Phyllis, her sisters Rachel and Terina, and brothers Che, Lex and Ara. Michelle, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion and kindness. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by her and she will be dearly missed. We ask that you remember Michelle, not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived and for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. In accordance with Michelle's wishes, a private farewell will be held.

It was such a pleasure to know Michelle and I was always in awe of her loveliness - a special lady, a wonderful mum to Chad and Sam, and treasured wife of the lovely Tony. Our family was blessed to have their friendship to our son Lachy which is much treasured.

So sad to hear the passing of Michelle - we went to Horowhenua College together and when I left Levin I moved to New Plymouth and Michelle and I flatted together for about a year. She taught me how to make stuffed potatoes it was one of her great things she baked. She was a very kind, giving, generous person and has been taken from her family far to early - my thoughts are with all her family xxx
