Mrs Nancy Hazeleger, you were a valued member of the Waimumu district. I am sure my parents valued your contributions to the district. (sadly they have passed away).
To those of the family left behind, treasure the memories of what you had, and know many loved you all. May God comfort you all in your loss. I am saddened to hear this sad news.

So sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. Nancy was active in our quilting club for many years and was an active member of my sub committee for the 2007 National Quilt Symposium. I am sorry I am not able to attend her memorial service this morning. My deepest sympathy to her family

I first met Mrs Hazeleger when the family relocated up to Hawera from Gore in late 1980. Tania joined my class, was seated next to me on her first day at Hawera High & we formed a friendship which remains strong today. Through Tania my family was introduced to the Hazeleger clan & we were hosted many times at their house enjoying lovely meals & spirited evenings. Nancy or "Mrs H" as she was affectionately known in our family & Hank or "Mr H" were wonderful hosts, warmly welcoming everyone into their home. Mrs H was an absolute go-getter who grasped opportunities in life & made things happen. She was a skilled craftswoman who passed her love of quilting on to Tania who is equally skilled in the craft. Losing a loving mum who has been a strong presence in your life is always hard. Sending much love & support to Tania, Vicki, Jenny & Michelle on this difficult day xxxx
