Nancy O'DONNELL Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Trinity Rest Home, Hawera on Thursday 25th July 2024 aged 94 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Leo.
Treasured mother of Mary (dec) and Howard, Michelle and Allan, Robyn, John, Brian and Diane, and Jane (Dec). A loving Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
A mass to celebrate the life of Nancy will be held in St Joseph's Catholic Church, 38 Victoria Street, Hawera, on Wednesday 31st July at 11.00am, followed by Interment in the Hawera Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Nancy to the Hawera Volunteer Fire Brigade would be appreciated and can be left at the service. For those wishing to attend the service via Webcast can do at www.southtaranakifunerals.co.nz/tributes. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Trinity Rest Home for their devoted care of Nancy.

I have lovely memories of Dear Aunty Nancy. She taught me at Owhango primary school and Mum used to send me to learn how to bake from Nancy's kitchen.
I was quite enthralled when we made brandy snaps, wrapping them around wooden clothes pegs.
In later years Des and I enjoyed visiting Aunty Nancy at the Trinity Rest Home.
She told us some lovely stories including how she met Leo all those years ago.
RIP Dear Aunty Nancy.

Mrs O'Donnell was my Standard 2 Teacher at St Joseph's 1971 (with Brian ) and Liz's teacher in 1972.Highly respected lovely lady.Over the years we would
run into Mrs O'Donnell at the Hawera Cemetery visiting Jane and us visiting our Mum and Dad .
