Nelson SPENCE Obituary

Passed peacefully on Monday 13th November 2023 at Heatherlea Rest Home. Loved husband of Margaret. Loved father and stepfather of Neil (deceased), Carolyn and Brenda. Michael, Mark, Sheryl and Donna. Treasured Poppa of Courtenay, Taylor and Jack, and loved "Nelson" to Ryan, Corey, Scott, Vanessa, Travis, Lisa and Claire. A celebration of Nelson's life will be held at A Simple Cremation & Burials, 233 Carrington Street, Vogeltown, New Plymouth, on Friday 17th November at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the NZ Fire Brigade would be much appreciated. A donation box will available at the service. a simple cremation & burials Ph 0800 236 236

Sad to hear , last I saw Nelson was 22 years ago after I had my first baby I visited him and grandma in Katikati and we had a couple of his home brewed beers was a happy part of my childhood visiting them . Sending love to the family in this sad time .

I remember Nelson skipping Wiremu Haua to the final of the Taranaki Open Fours-Pairs in the centennial in 2005. Nelson loved his bowls. Farewell, Nelson.
