Nerida HOW Obituary
Russell, Kayla, Casey and Jake would like to convey their heartfelt appreciation and love to everyone who touched them in any way since our dear Nerida's recent passing. The floral tributes, food and drinks, phone calls, cards, letters, texts, emails, online tributes, social media posts and home visits have been an amazing testimony to Nerida from the many people who she connected with during her life. Thank you to everyone who attended her funeral service and donated to Hospice Taranaki. Our special appreciation extends to Keli, Ross and those who paid tribute and joined our team to help make the day so special and memorable. Nerida's journey over the last 5 plus years was certainly very challenging for her. She accepted and fronted up to everything she was confronted with. Without the love and wonderful care that she received from Dr Kay Abraham and the oncology nurses in New Plymouth, and Dr Richard Issacs, Sheryl, Lisa and Anne at the Crest Hospital in Palmerston North, Nerida would not have had the precious times that she was able to spend with her darling wee grandchildren. This meant so much to Nerida so thank you to you all. To the wonderful team who spent so many hours sitting with and helping Nerida at home, thank you. You know who you are, and we will forever appreciate what you did to help. Marie and team at Te Rangimarie Hospice, what can we say? Thank you will never be enough for the care, compassion, dignity and love that you all bestowed on Nerida and our family during the numerous home visits over such a long time and especially those last few days that we were all entrusted to your care. You are an amazing team of people and your very special attributes and kindness shown to us will remain in appreciation with us forever. On a personal note, Russell wishes to acknowledge and thank Kim-Maree and Rachel, Nerida's guardian angels in her last hour, for the special duties, care and compassion that you gave Nerida. I will never forget you, love to you both. Denyse, this has been a very challenging and demanding journey for you. You have been our rock, answered our calls and delivered beyond the call of duty. As Nerida said so many times "what would we have done without you?" We love you and will be forever grateful for your love and care. We will go forward together and carry all those wonderful lifetime memories with us. We are really going to miss "Our Nerida" but in realization of her wonderful attributes and the connections and relationships she made with so many wonderful people while she was earthside, we know that we will be able to continue in life with you all and remember her with all our love.
Thank you one and all.
