I first met Noel in Calgary Canada in 1995 when he and Maureen came for a visit. Maureen said to Suzanne upon laying eyes on her you are pregnant! And she was absolutely right. Noel and I got to know each other over some beers (piss as you kiwis so passionately refer to it LOL). We drank ate wings and talked to the wee hours of the morning. I remember noel telling me So you Canucks think you can drink, try to keep up mate lol. Upon returning to the house where Suzanne and Maureen were fast asleep in there respective beds noel and I quietly joined our wives as they slumbered. It was not to remain quiet though as the deadly mixture of draught beer and wings began to perculate. All of a sudden the silence was broken by rip of a four tone Fart followed by the shrill of Maureen yelling Noel you pig, not to be outdone I responded with a 5 tone earthshaking fart followed by Darrell you pig from my loving wife Suzanne. Needless to say none of us got much sleep that night and we all had something to talk about in the morning. I had fond memories of the short visits I had with noel and I hold him in high regard. He was a gentleman athlete and a loving father who raised a beautiful family. I only wish I got to see him more but distance was not our friend. I know he will be missed by his family and friends and his respectful kind loving personality stretched all the way to Canada. I'm sorry I never got to see you one more time Noel, God speed TIGER into the loving arms of our lord.
