Norma BENTON Obituary

Norma and Ian became friends of the Satherley family (Owen, Gwyneth and Pamela) during a goodwill trip to Canada and USA. The friendship continued with many visits to New Plymouth and when in Wellington. Sad to hear of Norma's passing.

My sincere condolences to Norma's family on your sad loss. I was privileged to meet Norma on the AAW NZ Executive, while I was President. She kindly agreed to represent the Diocese of Waikato Taranaki. Norma was a wonderful, warm, Christian woman. The epitome of AAW with her continued, committed service to support all our women and women and children overseas. Norma has left a large hole in our lives which will be hard to fill. She will be sorely missed.

To all of Norma´s family, so sorry to see that Norma has passed away. Have known Norma for many years. The main connection with Norma was when we played softball in the same team. We had so much fun. Whenever we saw each other in later years it was always great to catch up on families comings and goings.Always bright and cheerful.

My condolences to all the Benton families. Norma was my friend for many years and also Ian an my husband were good friends. We spent many happy times at various shooting ranges over the years and at their home and at ours. She stayed with me when she came
to Christchurch on Anglican church affairs. I will miss her terribly. Love to all!

So sorry to learn of Norma´s passing. I first met her in the late 1950´s playing Softball and over the years our paths have crossed many times. A lovely lady who will be sadly missed.
