Norman THOMSON Obituary

Peacefully at Waikato Hospital on 28 March 2026. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Patricia (Pat) for 60 years and much-loved father and father-in-law of Craig and Julie, Janine and Geraint, Stephen and Tamara. Loving Grandad to Alex, Scott, Nia, Nathan, Jessica, Zach and Amy and Great-Grandad to baby Alba. A celebration of Norman's life will be held at Zenders, 44 Hopkins Road, Hamilton on Thursday 2nd April 2026 at 1.30pm. Livestream link https://www.ana-maria.nz/thomson

My best boss ever. Inspirational scientist and all round great bloke. I learned so much from Norm. I stayed with Norm and Pat at Manawapou Rd for my first month in Hawera. We watched the inaugural World Cup Rugby in 1987 and I felt most welcome. My sincere condolences to Pat and the family.
