Passed away peacefully on April 18th, aged 84. Daughter of Rowland (dec) and Aileen (dec). Husband of John (dec). Sister of John (dec), Graham and Rodger Hallen. Sister-in-law of Wendy, Lorraine and Carol. Mother of Michele, Kirsten and Vanessa. Nana Pam to Calum, Rosie, Amelie and Sophie. Pam's funeral will be held in Stratford's Holy Trinity Church at 1.30pm on April 29th - and livestreamed for those unable to attend, on Eagars Funerals Tribute Page. Following the service and burial there will be a provided afternoon tea at a local venue where we would love connections and stories to be shared in celebration of Pam. We suggest that people wear something red or vibrant colours in honour of Mum's love of these.

I was one of Pam's first music pupils and my brother Mark Proffit followed. I know I tested her with my lack of musical ability but she was always willing to work with me and help me accomplish something I never though possible. it was always to a joy to catch up with her whenever I returned home. Cherish your memories and know that she instilled the love of music in many people.

To Michele, Kirsten and (as my mum Bella used to call you) Neha and all you whanau members. My dear friends, I was saddened to learn of mum's passing. She was my idol, she was my own personal Nana Mouskouri :-) and THE best music teacher that a kid could ever have and to top it off, one of my mum's best friends. Remembering Huinga and the Binnie surname has gone hand in hand for me. Since becoming a mother and grandmother myself, my girls and grandkids know all about Mrs Binnie and the cottage that we lived in - gosh so many great memories. Mrs Binnie, fly high. I am sure that there are alot of people waiting at the Pearly Gates for you to welcome you home. Rest In Love dear lady xx
