Patricia MCKENNA Obituary
Patricia (Pat) Jennette:
Late of Kakaramea. Peacefully in the gentle care of Trinity Home and Hospital with her family by her side, on Tuesday 1st August 2017, in her 91st year. Dearly loved wife of the late Garry. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Sharleen and Wayne Robinson (Oakura) and the late Ian Holdem, Maurice (Spike) and Jackie (Hawera), Elizabeth (dec), Conal and Mandy Down (Wellington), Lyncia and Kevin Podmore (Wellington), Gareth and Stephen Hughes (Hurleyville). Loved Grandma of Nicola and Grant, Jason and Jacqui; Kate and Cain, Rick and Victoria, Tim and Amy; Clodagh, Fionn, and Ciaran; Connah and Michael, Alex, Rhiannon and Elliot, Declan and Jewelia; Kane and Claire, Emilie and Joseph. Loved by her great-grandchildren, Joe, Sam, Quin, and Sonni Douglas; Nixon, and Ivy Holdem; Ruby, Poppy, and Harri Goodin; Lewis Roberts. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff of Trinity, for their wonderful care of Mum during her eight months with them. Messages to the McKenna Family, c/- PO Box 605, Hawera 4640. If you remember, a donation may be made to Alzheimer's Taranaki, and these may be left at the service. A Requiem Mass for Pat will be held at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Egmont St, Patea, on Saturday 5th August 2017, commencing at 11.00am, after which we will lay her to rest at the Patea Cemetery.

To all the McKenna family I would like, through the use of the Guest Book that the Taranaki Daily News makes available, to express my sympathy on the very recent death of your mother Patricia.
Your parents must have been very proud of their own family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. How richly blessed were Garry and Patricia.
My own first contact with the family was through Maurice at FDMC in 1967, and Conal a year or two later.
As their children you must have so much for which to be grateful in your wonderful and caring parents, and I trust too with many happy memories.
May the Good Lord welcome her home with outstretched arms.
(I am now living in retirement in Sydney as a young 84 year old..)
