I am so sorry to learn of Paula's passing and send my sincerest condolences to Kevin, the family, and the Briskie family. I know you will miss her dreadfully. We celebrated being 65 a few years ago, reminisced and laughed and I'm so glad we did. We met at Waitara High, were in the same class and became great friends. My thoughts are with you Kevin. Treasure the happy times xx

Very sad to read of Paula's passing condolences to you Kevin and your whanau. Paula & I were students at WHS then unknowingly became neighbours. Her ready smile and gentle nature always made you feel happy in her presence. RIP Paula moe mai moe mai moe mai.

I felt such sadness when I learned of Paula´s death. Our friendship began as young women teaching at Waitara High School sometime in the 1970´s. Paula´s contribution to students and their learning was enormous and was shared across Aotearoa throughout her teaching career. Her ready laughter encouraged mayhem on occasion and some of us remember dancing to `I am Woman´ at her 50th birthday bash. Her baking ability might inspire me to a chocolate cake or afghans in homage to her over the next few days. I hope that memories of Paula provoke a smile and a zest for positivity that Paula aspired to

So sorry to read of Paula´s passing. We shared many happy times when Paula and David were on both the Waitara East and Manukorihi Intermediate school committees. Always a valued member of any club she was involved with and she will be missed by all those who knew her. Our thoughts are with you Kevin, Brett, Jemma, Cameron and your families at this sad time. May all the happy memories help you through the days ahead.

Please accept our sincere sympathy. Paula was a valued teacher and a teaching colleague with a great sense of humour. We had many great times together at Waitara High. Her greatest love though, was her family and quilting. You will miss her very much.
