Peter KAVANAGH Obituary
Peacefully passed away with his loved ones by his side, at Te Rangimarie Hospice, on Friday, 19 May 2023, aged 60 years. Loving father of Grace and partner Jared. Loving friend of Fiona. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Kath (dec) and Max, Mary and Wayne (dec), Pauline and Doug, Joan and Brian, and Noeline (dec). Adored uncle of his many nieces and nephews. Great mate to many of his friends. In lieu of flowers, any donations to Hospice Taranaki would be appreciated and may be left at the service, or at https://www.hospice.org.nz/get-involved/make-a-donation/ All messages to 'The Kavanagh family', c/- PO Box 4016 New Plymouth, or online at https://wabraham.co.nz/notices/ A service to celebrate Peter's life will be held in St Joseph's Catholic Church, Powderham Street, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 24 May at 10.30am. Peter will be laid to rest at Hawera Cemetery at 2.00pm.

Dear Grace, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. I have such fond memories of you and Charlotte coming back from a day of biscuiting on the lake with Peter and being so thrilled with yourselves.

Kav's,
Valued member of the Hawera Hookers and The Hoons tennis teams for many years. He provided endless hours of entertainment and advice on the court but mostly afterwards as the night wore on as he got more vocal as he rehydrated. A great guy, good fun, a great mate to many.
Gone far to soon, rest easy number 4 seed.
Will be sadly missed by Rangi, Jane, Pinko and The Rod
