On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Dr Peter Rex Wilson, aged 84, passed peacefully in Nelson surrounded by family. Pete was a celebrated ecologist, dedicated father, and avid yachtie and aviator. All who experienced his smile were left richer. Our most heartfelt thanks go to the staff of Ernest Rutherford home, whose care and love for Peter went above and beyond. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at the Aurora lounge of the Nelson Yacht Club at 2.00pm, June 7, 2025. All Welcome. In place of flowers please donate to Forest & Bird.
