Rae Teresa (Rae Rae):
Passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, aged 79 years. Wife of the late Peter Belton. Loved Mum of Carol, David, Jennifer, Helen, Linda, Eleanor, Kathleen, Rodger, Avery and their families. Rae is resting at Kairau Marae, Matarikoriko Road, Brixton, until her service. A service for Rae will be held in Kairau Marae, Matarikoriko Road, Brixton, on Sunday, June 10, at 11.00am. Thereafter to Matarikoriko Urupa.

I've known Rae Rae seemingly forever. She was my Mum's first cousin, she was our Aunty who shared her personality that no last name was needed; Rae Rae, with a rich history. I saw more of her when she and Peter lived in the Kaumatua Flats. In her latter years, in her presence at the Hungaririki, in Kairau, Rae Rae, served as a Kaumatua, a role she ably fulfilled.
