My sincere condolences to Eddies family and friends. So saddened by Ed's passing. I remember Ed from when we played bowls at Hawera BC. Ed's personality, sharp wit and "strange" sense of humour took me a while to manage. A skilled bowler with a great tactical approach, whilst Skip.
After retiring from active bowls we enjoyed Ed's participation in HBC's Wednesday social group and after that group folded, due to the aging of participants, I continued to visit Ed at his home, having a beer and reminiscing.
Thank you for being a great friend Eddie.
