ASHLEY, Rex Albert:
Passed away at Trinity Rest Home and Hospital, Hawera on Friday, 3 June 2016. Aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Daphne for 56 years. Loved dad of Wendy and Kevin; Graeme and Tracey (Perth); and Nicola. Loved grandad to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved brother of Nola and George Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimers New Zealand would be appreciated and may be left at the service. All messages to the Ashley family can be sent to C/- P.O. Box 218, Stratford 4352 or heavenaddress.com. Family and friends are invited to attend a service for Rex at the Manaia Union Chapel, Tauhuri Street, Manaia on Wednesday, 8 June at 1pm. Followed by interment at the Manaia Cemetery.

Passing on my deepest condolences to all the family members and also including friends of Rex. Can distinctly remember Rex playing Soprano for the Manaia Municipal Brass Band in the 1950's. Was a very good Brass player also. Gary Watts, Christchurch.
