Robert KIRKLAND Obituary
Robert Duncan (Bob):
Passed peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital on Sunday 12th March 2023, aged 91 years. Dearly beloved husband of Shirley. Much loved father and father-in-law of David and Kim (Canada), Wayne and Jill (Lower Hutt), and the late Philip and Joanna (New Plymouth). Loved Grandad to 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. All messages may be sent to 'The Kirkland Family', c/- PO Box 4016, New Plymouth 4340, or left online at wabraham.co.nz/notices In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Taranaki would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A service for Bob will be held at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, 72 Liardet Street, New Plymouth, on Friday 17th March 2023 at 12.00pm, followed by interment at Awanui Cemetery at 3.00pm.

I am grandads son´s Wayne kirkland´s foster child. Tira-Hakeke. Grandad and I had one thing in common, For example grandad and I both had something to do with planes. He flew planes suck as the Tigger Moth and I joined air cadets. He was like my hero, And will always have a place in my heart.

Sincere thoughts to the family.
It was privilege to work for the family at Lucas Furnishing House where I experience the commitment of a gentlemen, not only to family business, but to his Christian lifestyle, where I recall his work with Bible distribution, trips to Phillipines and his church .the experience was positive for myself in continuing my God glorified walk.
