Love to Jan and whanau.
Bob was a lovely man, great story teller, with a dry sense of humour. I'd call into the shop for a chat, he'd always see me right with shirt and trousers throwing in a few pairs of undies. I remember Bob was always kind with the best smile. Miss you Bob.

To Jan and family, so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Always a pleasure to pop into the shop and spend a considerable amount of time putting the world to rights. Always in awe of Bob's commitment to run around the mountain raising funds for the lights at Yarrows Stadium. Remember some Hurricanes players joining in and struggled to stick with Bob. Rest In Peace.

Bob was a hero of my 50s/60s youth, for Tukapa and for Taranaki. My (late) father Pat Jones was a player, then coach of Tukapa teams that included Bob in his young days. Pat then became a referee but was forever Tukapa. Tukapa was in our blood, my grandfather having featured in the 1900/10s Carbine Shield photos that I gave to the club. I so remember the days helping Dad in the canteen, dispensing grossly coloured soft drinks. Bob was such a part of that era. A fine rugby player.
