Robert ORD Obituary

It has been some time since I have been to Hawera, I was sad to read Robert's death notice. My sincere condolences to you Glenda and your family.

Sad news we read. My sincere condolences to you and yours Glenda. A true gentleman was Rob. So enjoyed his company especially at our
'Outer Wheel' dinners each month. Ross's 'right hand man' was he, with fascinating stories to tell of years now past. His amazing cheery smile is so easy to bring to mind now, and we are all just that little bit poorer for his passing.

To Glenda and family, Many years have passed since I have had contact with Rob who I contracted to do my general carrying work and deliveries in 70-80's.
Rob was a very obliging and good friend to many living in South Taranaki

Glenda & family, my sincere condolences in your loss of Rob. He was a treasured neighbour of the late Elsie & Wally Stampa, Hawera. A regular bowler of Tower Bowling Club, it was always a pleasure to have a catch up chat with Rob at bowls tournament. RIP Rob.

We were very saddened to get the news of Robert's passing from Michelle thinking of you all , it is over 50 years since we were neighbour's in Egmont street and have been dearest friends ever since. So pleased we called in only days ago. Love to you all.

After a brief illness at Taranaki Base Hospital, Robert passed away with family by his side on Tuesday 2nd September 2025, aged 81 years. Very special brother-in-law to Lynley and Warren Towers. Adored uncle to Amber, and Monique, and loved great-uncle to Theo.
