Robert Schaper Obituary

Robert J. "Bob" Schaper Jr., 66, of Mars, passed away on Saturday evening, Aug. 12, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford with his family at his side.
Born in Pittsburgh, on March 7, 1957, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Dolores Wish Schaper Sr.
Bob was a manager for AT&T in Pittsburgh. He was a member of St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Township. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed pitching horseshoes and Pittsburgh sports, especially the Penguins.
Bob was the beloved husband of Judith A. Manski Schaper, whom he married on July 3, 1982; loving father of Lindsey Chancellor (Rob) of Conway and Lauren Firestine (Garret) of Butler; grandfather of Carson Chancellor and Baby Firestine on the way; and "special father" of Wendy Williams of Pittsburgh and Tony Sciullo (Gleyce) in Florida. Also surviving are a sister, Sandy Shamonsky of Pittsburgh; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Jeff Schaper.
SCHAPER - Friends of Robert J. "Bob" Schaper Jr., who died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.
