Robert SMILLIE Obituary

On Wednesday 19th July 2023 at Lansdowne Park, Masterton, aged 87 years. Husband of the late Muriel (Ann) Smillie, father and father-in-law of Martin and Sharon (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and Helen and Steve (Matarawa, Carterton). Much loved grandfather of Lauren and Elise and good buddy of Tammy, Gus and Wilson. Big brother to John, Steve, and Margaret (UK). Bob and his big personality have left a huge hole in our lives and while he's with his beloved Ann once more, the whisky distilleries of Scotland will be all the poorer for his discontinued patronage. Love you Dad! In accordance with Bob's wishes a private cremation will be held. Visit Bob's tribute page at www.tributes.co.nz

So sorry to hear about the passing of Bob. I can still remember the laughs we had when I would visit him in the Shell BP and Todd drawing office way back in the 80s and 90s. My condolences to the family.

Martin, Helen and families

So glad I visited Dad a couple of times over the past few years in Carterton.
Many fond memories of growing up in Wallath Road with Bob and his witty sense of humour, right across the driveway.

He'll be missed but leaves wonderful memories and a legacy all of his own.

Thoughts are with you guys.
