Ronald Charles:
Passed away after a long illness on 5th January 2022. Late of Currumbin Waters, Gold Coast, Australia and formerly of New Plymouth, NZ. Aged 78 years. Beloved husband of Colleen, loved father of Leonie and Rhys, much loved grandad of Corey, Daniel, Kobie and Kirra. Ron's funeral service will take place on the Gold Coast on Monday 10th January 2022 at 5.30pm NZ Time. Those wishing to watch the service stream can visit

My thoughts and sympathy go to you after the death of Ron , who was a dedicated member of East End Surf Lifesaving Club. Always a gentleman, coach of junior teams and reelsman of the A 4man team with Trevor Corkin, Keith Roebuck and David Emmett. Never to be forgotten. RIP Ron. xx
