Ross BROWN Obituary

BROWN, Ross Handley. - The Taranaki Rugby Football Union Board and Management recognise with sadness the passing of Life Member and Centurion Ross Brown.
Ross will be sadly missed in the Taranaki rugby community, and remembered as one of the true greats of the game. Our condolences and thoughts are with Ross' wife Viv and family at this time.

I was saddened to read of Ross Browns passing, I well remember the magic he wove at Rugby Park in the fifties when Taranaki rugby was at its dominant best. To myself along with my friends Ross was our hero, I can still remember almost every game he played in. He was also a great All Black of course. Those memories of Ross will always be with me. My condolences to the Brown family, my thoughts are with you at this time. Kind Regards Midge Marsden

I remember Ross Brown in the Springbox's test 1956 and the many drop-goals for Taranaki in the 1958/59 Ranfurly shield games. The Ross Brown name carries on the game for school boy rugby. Our thoughts are with the family at this time . Eric J Werder SRC
