I would have loved to have been at the funeral for Ross today but family sickness has prevented me..To visit Ross even in his failing health at the Trinity Resthome was always a pleasure. His smile and a firm handshake conveyed the sincerity of appreciation and friendship extended towards me .In my time of Ministry in Hawera .Ross along with his late wife Claire ,was a loyal & faithful Parishioner, who's home as a loving couple was always open with their love hospitality, warmth & caring friendship ,even to the last time visiting Ross just before his admittance to Trinity .A Real Gentleman of Christian Character who walked and lived his faith to those he came in contact with.A Great man of Honest Statue .I will always have fond memories of Ross ,and the times spent with him and Claire in their home ,and later in Trinity .Gods Blessings to you all , each and every family member,"May The Peace of God be your Strength," LIndsay Maindonald ,Eltham

To my dear Corrigan cousins

Our deepest sympathy for your loss of Ross.
We are so sad about his passing.

I enjoyed popping in to visit him when travelling up from Canterbury, or from Wellington (in earlier years). I also enjoyed the odd telephone call to him.

Ross was always an absolute gentleman, so welcoming and a pleasure to visit.  Through him I was able to explore our family tree and use his research to research more myself and learn more about our very interesting family.

My Grandmother was Patricia Sulzberger (nee Nowell), whom I never got to meet as she died before I was born.  So I guess I wanted to know more about a part of my family I felt I had missed out on. In her final days, Patricia was cared for at The Oaks by her Corrigan family.

I remember as a youngster a wonderful big family gathering at The Oaks, when Ross' Mother was still alive. As a child we had the most wonderful fun with all our smaller cousins, running through the beautiful gardens playing games.  Then afterwards we had the most amazingly presented enormous amount of food that was simply delicious!
Ross and family were always wonderful fun.

With much sympathy and love from, Joanne Young (nee Sulzberger) and Trevor Young, and our family, Michael, Amy, David, Thomas and Nicole.

To Fiona, Kirsten, Andrew and the wider Corrigan Family,
We are counting our blessings for knowing such a fine man as your Father, Father in law, Grandad & Great Grandad.

He was such a wealth of knowledge and history. It was due to Ross inviting his Grandson Josh to the Hawera Club all those years ago where our daughter Carly worked that connected our families.

Yes we are sad because you´ve passed, but we have so much Gratitude because you lived.

Sharing our Grandchildren Larney, Ava-Lee & Stevee with Ross, definitely entitles him to have the "GREAT" along with Grandad.

Josh, Carly, Larney, Ava-Lee & Stevee we are sorry we won´t be there on Wednesday but know we love you and he would be so proud of your little family.
