Roy BENTON Obituary

Passed peacefully on Saturday, 6th September 2025, aged 92 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Shirley. Loved Dad and father-in-law of Graeme and Diane, Jill, Brett and Tracey. Cherished Pop of Michelle, Darren; Taine; Chaz, Dana and great-grandfather of Mackenzie, Ayisha, Riley, and Noah. So sorry to see Roy has passed on. So many wonderful memories of jet boating days and great friendships made along the way. Both Roy and Shirley were such great people and fun to be around.They will be missed by all who knew them.

On behalf of the New Plymouth Water Ski Club it is with great sadness to learn of the passing of Roy. It's only because of Roy's generosity and can do attitude that the West Arm Lake Ratapiko was able to be formed for the generations to come. Condolences to the Benton Family.

I can still hear my mum (Trixie Street) screaming with delight in Roy's jetboat doing sea donuts at Urenui Beach.. very fond memories of the Benton family.
