Condolences to all the family on the passing of Mr Donald. I havn't had contact in such a long time but the Warea memories come flooding back. My Dad and Mum had huge respect and I Can remember such a quiet, caring , genuine man .. always happy and smiling while baling our hay Ruakere Rd . Always knew who was driving the "Big Black Car " when it cruised along the main Rd . Was a longtime back but still seems like yesterday ... Another Warea Identity leaving excellent lasting memories . Be proud Ian and Jane , Bruce and Helen and families .
RIP Mr Donald .

Such sad news about Roy. We helped Roy and Lilah with hay making one year when we were managing the Warea auto centre for his brother Ken. We moved away and were amazed to learn our daughter, partner and their two children later took up residence straight across the road. Roy treasured seeing her two children and giving them jobs to do around the farmlet. Roy always had time to stop and chat and always share a yarn or a joke with our daughter and us when we eventually caught up again. Loved his cheeky smile and laughing eyes.RIP Roy,you will be missed. Our condolences to all of the Donald families.
Kind regards

To Ian & Jane & your extended Whanau we offer our deepest condolences at the passing of Poppa Roy.
He had time for everyone & many people would have learnt from him as he quietly passed on his wisdom.
His wit & cheeky smile is what we will remember the most.
Poppa Roy & Nana Lilah were our neighbours when we worked on the farm.
Our children loved him, he always had time for them & were often involved in his cheek as he passed by on his way to the chook shed in the morning.
To letting them ride Toby the pony or showing them how he had trained his dog to use the slide. They to learned from him.
He will be sadly missed by many as he intertwined in their lives.
RIP Poppa Roy, say Hi to Nana Lilah from us all.
