Sorry to hear about Roy. I enjoyed playing rugby with him, having him as a captain and enjoyed talking to him ever since on the phone. Deepest sympathies to you all.

Condolences to Roys family from his great friend and 1950 All Black team mate Maurice (snow) Cockerill.
If possible, Snow would appreciate if someone from Roy´s family could contact him - phone 06-9749093, to talk about Roy´s last days.
Snow is blind, 94 years old and resides at the Summerset retirement complex at Napier.He has kept in contact with Roy for many years and talked to him recently.

It is with deep sorrow the Taranaki Rugby Football Union join's the Roper family in informing you of the passing of Roy Roper on the 14th of September 2023. Roy was a treasured former Taranaki Representative TRFU Life Member and All Black. We will be forever grateful of Roy's contribution to Taranaki Rugby.
