Condolences to the family on the loss of a true gentleman .
We enjoyed the wit and good humour of Russ when he was our landlord at the Braemar Motor Inn from 93 untill 99 .
Its hard to believe you have gone as you always appeared to look younger each time we saw you.

Such sad news to hear of the passing of Russ

We have so many stories to share , it's hard to know where to start ,

Flashing bow tie
Dancing on the tables at the Casino
Russ had the most gorgeous laugh , that use to send our cat to rotate 3 foot in the air.
Russ use to come & visit us when the kiwi winters hit & the racing winter carnival began , one time he went to the races called in at the trots on the way home arriving home at midnight , after we had made calls to the Police & checked several hospitals.

One lesson we learnt from Russ was don't waste a day of your life, heaven is going to be a much brighter place flashing bow tie & all .

To Lorraine, Jeffrey and Philip, so sad to hear this news. I have many fun memories of Russ. He was a true gentleman and will always feature in our memories of our families growing up.He will be missed and I will miss seeing his face at my work place. God bless you Russ. Mum and Dad (Ann and Trevor Watson) tonight were talking about the first time they arrived at Surfers quite late at night and Josie had left a batch of scones for them in their room!!. And also about the times Russ used to take them for a drive up towards Pukeiti to pick Blackberries...A great friend sadly missed. Hi and condolences Phillip if you read this.
