Kaponga years were such special years, for those of us privileged to experience them. They are cemented in our memories because of those beautiful people such as Ruth and Bruce Duthie (cannot mention one without the other), who were our 'influencers on life' as we were growing up. Her gentle ways and disposition was matched perfectly to the Tozer singing voice, and music she made with her brother Alan still echoes in my mind. To 'The Duthie Boys' - you and yours, I offer my condolences at this difficult time. May you rest in peace now Ruth- you have earned the right to 'Enter Thou into into the joy of thy Lord'.

My condolences to the Duthie family. I knew both Ruth and Bruce when I lived and worked in Kaponga while they farmed on the Palmer Road and were involved with the Methodist Church in the town.
Their quiet and gentle manner made an impression on this teenager at the time.
