Shaan MANAIA Obituary

Shaan and I played rugby together in seasons 1989-90. We spent many a Sunday afternoon having a few quiet beers at his garage!!

To Wendy & Chris, Kelly and the Manaia whanau; so sorry for your loss of Shaan. May he rest in peace now.
Shaan, Chris and me all started (same day) as temps in the Petrochem engineering store. We had some good laughs. We also (all 3) started our apprenticeships at the same time. Shaan was funny, with loads of cheek. That's how I remember him.

Our deepest sympathy to all of Shaan's family. Unfortunately we were away with my school rugby team in the South Island and couldn't make the funeral.

Heartfelt thoughts and love to Shaans family . We had many happy years together and will never forget how Shaan took on the role as stepdad to my kids how much he did for them took Michael hunting bought him a puppy , would do anything for Trudie running her around bought the kids their first cars was a good friend to Matt and then along came along Shavorn the apple of his eye he loved her so much and she loved him . We had more grandchildren who you also adored . Shaan you were a big part of our family and we appreciate that and it will never be forgotten we are all grieving as we loved you so much . Who knows what it would have been if you hadn´t got the illness you have suffered with for years and little did we know you already had it when we were together.
