24.7.1925 - 27.8.2025

A final toast has been made for Shirley Ellen Bates. At 100 years of age a life well lived. Loved wife of the late Ken Bates and Fred Whitaker. A much loved mother and mother-in-law to the late Susan, Mark and Marnie, Royce and Lynley, Jay and Wendy. A treasured Nana Shirl to Kelly and Simon, Steve and Kelly, Kate and Nasa, Dave and Pip, Hanna and Matty, Melissa and Tobias. Cherished Great-Nana Shirl to Molly and Cooper, Flynn and, Elka Max and Vitor, Poppy, Vala, Adalyn and Matilda. A well traveled lady on her last journey. The family would like to thank Jean Sandel staff for the care of Shirley, and to say a private service has been held.
