Big hugs to all the Murphy family. I was Shirley McGiven, now Shirley Wilson, and we spent much time with the Murphy family when my parents were teaching at Meremere.
You were always a special family. Mum kept in contact with your Mum for years.
We met up with Dan a few times in New Plymouth.

Dan was involved in the interview when our daughter, Sarah, wished to go to Teacher´s College. Yes, like my parents , my brother John and myself, both our children are teachers. They love music too.
I remember music being important to your family.

What an amazing heritage you have. What amazing memories.
Much love to you all
Shirley

To Philip, Gary, Geraldine, Danny and Paddy. I´m so sorry to hear of your mother´s passing. She was a special person with always a kind smile, a cuppa and a warm welcome into her home. I often think of the days around the piano with the guitar´s playing, the accordion, and the singing and yodelling. Such an amazing lady who held her family together with love and music. You will be so missed. Rest in peace. Xx
