In loving memory of a beautiful soul, Terry you were always such an interesting treasure trove of information and so entertaining with your quick wit and twinkle in your eye. Your spirit was strong to the end. Wendy, our dear friend and to all the family, words can never express the depth of what you are going through now. Sending you lots of love and huge hugs as you mourn your beloved Terry and celebrate his amazing life.

Terry or Mr Lealand as I called him me being a young school leaver, employed me as his first ever nurse/receptionist when he purchased his business on High and Union Street, That was 60 years ago and I thoroughly enjoyed my 6 + years there. He was a great boss and even drove the car for my bridesmaids on our wedding day. Terry was a peoples person and well liked by patients and the community. Heaps of memories for me to cherish. Terry was a great friend since the mid 1960's to Gail and I and will be greatly missed, He was also the Patron of the South Taranaki Amateur Radio Club and had given many years to the hobby and the club. Terry X You will always be a prominent South Taranaki personality and icon, always to be remembered with love and kindness. With 90 years of stories and adventures, you were interesting, always curious and always ready for a good joke and giggle. You are like the Labrador of men, completely reliable, easy-going, generous with your friendship and your eyes would light up when a deserving and genuine compliment was bestowed on you.

Over the years we have shared many happy gatherings with you and Wendy, in Hawera, Wellington, Palmerston North and Napier. We have celebrated milestone birthdays, mourned the passing of our loved family and friends, our much-loved pets and welcomed the arrival of our new fur babies. You are one of our tried and true DIY Kiwis and one of the good guys. So many lovely, happy times, you will be missed but always remembered with love and gratitude for the privilege of knowing you. Terry, as I would always say when leaving you 'dont get up' - big hugs and a kiss for the road. Love and blessings to Wendy, for taking such wonderful care of Terry and condolences to the Lealand family at this sad time.

The Hawera Repertory Society wish to convey their heartfelt condolences to Terry's family on his passing. Terry was a much loved and valuable member of our Society and will be remembered for his skills in the technical side of theatre as well as for the fun and friendship he brought to his fellow thespians.

Hawera has lost one of its great citizens, I can remember my first visit to him when he first started practice at the Adolescent dental clinic on the corner of Grey St many moons ago, he has been a colourful member of our community for most of his life and will be sadly missed by us all.

A special special man. Our acquaintance commenced up high on the corner of High and Union streets, looking down on the 'madding crowds', since I was 15 years old.
