Such sad news. I worked with Terry at the Daily Telegraph back in the mid 1980's. He was always very kind to me. Condolences to his family.

Great to have ridden shotgun with Terry over a few hills, tight bends, floods ,dairy sheds, good chats and a great story and photo to be found.
Thanks Terry and condolences to his whanau

Napier Telegraph years: Chief sub Terry cool under pressure, always making the right decisions with the deadline minutes away (or ago), and good fun in the pub later. Journos loved and respected Terry. Printers too. Me and Suzanne too. Thanks for everything.

Sheryl and I are saddened to hear of Terry´s passing. We are thinking of you, Frances, and TT´s whanau. Terry was a man to have beside you in the trenches with deadline looming and a large hole to fill. He was a fine, old-school craftsman, a serious journo. More than that, he was a good bloke and remained a firm friend long after the ink had dried. We´ve missed you these last few years and will continue to do so. Cheers, mate
