Dear wells Family

My sincere condolences on your loss, Terry was such a lovely man and personally I want to share that he was a strong positive influence on my formative years and I know the same can be said for generations of kids passing through the Bell block youth group. Some of my best memories are tied to riding in the back of Terry's van to and from fun events, his humor and patience setting the tone for everyone. As a parent today I marvel in hindsight at his energy and selfless gift of so much of himself to so many. Thank you all for sharing him with us I know I like many others was a beneficiary of his example as a human and as a Christian Husband and Father.

Warmest regards Jamie

Raewyn and family.
I am currently living in Wiltshire, England, but I watched the service for Terry live.
It was so fitting. I am sure that Terry would have enjoyed it. What a legacy he has left all of us, richly seen in the confidence and competence shown by the 'children' - Terry would have been doubly proud of them. He was always proud of them anyway.
I think you know, but I'll repeat it, Terry was such a support for me during my time at Bellblock. Always there, always good for advice... and for a laugh! Always welcoming me, Janet and our own children to the farm, whether it was for Christmas Day or Sunday lunch. Raewyn, you did a remarkable job, and it was so obvious that you were a team, ably aided by the rest of the family.
After all these years together, Terry will leave a big hole in your life and your heart. The price of great love, is great sorrow.
You have both always (really!) been in my memory, and will continue to be.
Warmest regards
Keith & Janet

Sadly I was unable to be at Terry´s funeral. I watched the livestream and what an amazing tribute to an awesome guy. Terry was such a fun cheerful cheeky man and full of the joys of life. Our loss but heavens gain.

Terry you really were a pinnacle part of the Northpoint Baptist Church. Seeing the way in which you served without hesitation and welcomed everyone with open arms and a hug made returning to church so much calmer.

Raewyn, Nev, Dave, Mark, Margaret and families.
What beautiful tributes you all gave that reflect what an amazing man , husband and Father Terry was. All glory to God as Terry would want ! No one can lead such a life of love , service and compassion and with such humility and grace that Terry did without walking closely with their saviour. Never for human praise. Terry was such a godly example .I am Very thankful for so many happy childhood and teen church and farm memories with Terry and you all. His wonderful attributes are evident in his offspring, what a legacy. Much love. Xx

When Wayne and I first
came to Northpoint we were
greeted by Terry.
The following week when we
arrived Terry was there and
greeted us by name. That
really impressed me.
Throughout our time at
Northpoint Terry has always
been there for us as a
family.
He helped us move
and helped us through
becoming members of the
church. When Wayne went
into the rest home Terry
always took the time to visit
him. This was greatly appreciated
I always enjoyed seeing Terry at the door when I came to church. His hugs were always appreciated
and he always seemed to know when things were not good for me. Terry I will miss you and your smile
When I come to church. You were an amazing person.
Fly free and high Terry

Further to what Harry Cast said about Terry's valuable contribution as Chairperson of the WHS Board I would like to share a story that reinforces his true community spirit. It was my idea to build the school's new wharenui - the board gained the funding and the project began with voluntary help. I walked past the site during school hours and there was Terry, Joe Coster and Gail Morrow digging the footings in the hot sun!
Thank you Terry for your help. kia kaha

Our sincere condolences to Raewyn and all the family on Terry's passing. Memories of Terry when I (Lorraine) was a member of Waitara High School's Board of Trustees with Terry from 1992-7, he as Chairperson for last 3 years and I as Deputy for last 2. He was always friendly (with a big smile on his face), supportive of his fellow Board members, with a positive outlook on life and the best interest of the school at heart. As Caretaker of WHS during this time I (Joe) enjoyed working with Terry and enjoyed his company when he often dropped in for a cuppa and catchup whenever he was in the school.
Rest in peace Terry. One of life's true gentlemen.

Harry Cast

August 25, 2022

My condolences to Raewyn and Family. Terry was the Chairperson of the Waitara High School Board of Trustees for a number of years, all the board benefited from his expertise, care for others and a commitment to the school. Terry was always approachable at all times and was a strong upholder of family values.
He will be missed.

To Raewyn and family, our heartfelt condolences to you. We remember Terry as a gentleman, fully interested in those he came into contact with. A very compassionate man, a very special memory was Terry attending my Dad's funeral (who he didn't know) when we were relatively new to Northpoint, which spoke volumes for his care for others. Love to you all. He is with his loving Lord and Saviour, who will carry you through this season. God bless you all.

As with so many, Terry was one of the key Christian men I looked to for examples of how to live, I loved his balance between corporate church life, family, business and pleasure, his faith permeated through them all.
His pragmatic, compassionate faith-based leadership style has been an enduring influence on how I manage myself and others.
My favourite memory of him is floating upstream on our backs at night with the incoming tide in the Urenui river taking in Gods amazing creation in the stars.
Thanks Terry for your inspiration and influence in my life, I imagine you have that infectious smile still with your new body as you dance before the throne of our King and Lord

Firstly, to Raewyn and family. You are part of and all have contributed to the legacy of Terry and the great heritage that he stems from.
Having attended a number of other churches since leaving Northpoint, I came to value and appreciate the gift that Terry shared as he welcomed people. Knowing who was new and who he could possibly line them up with. He made them feel welcomed.
Fun was something else I associate with Terry, hard worker, loved his family, an encourager, a supporter of people and very compassionate. There is so much to add, but for me it was his evident love for His Heavenly Father which reflected in his attitude and his love towards others.
Cards, then some more cards. Laughter ....
Thanks Terry it was a privilege to have met and known you.
Regards Margy
