To Tom´s family, his knowledge of the Dairy Industry, farming will be missed. Love for his family and his strong example of faith shared in the church at Kaponga and Stratford will be missed. His regular spot sitting in his chair on a Sunday and seeing him on Friday masses as well. He, will sadly be missed. His leadership with church programs was invaluable. He was a true disciple and an example to us all to keep our faith. Treasure your memories and be there for one another. Know that others love and truely care. Hopefully, that strength will help you in the coming days. Catherine and David Smith, Auroa.

To the Gibson family. So, so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Carole and I are away and are disappointed to have missed the funeral. I have so much to thank Tom for and we expiernced so many highs and lows in life together. He was truly a great man in life in general and the dairy industry has so much yo thank him for. On a lighter note he loved to "wind up" Carole and she enjoyed the banter and his booming laugh a fond enduring memory.

Condolences to the Gibson family on the passing of your Dad & Grandfather, Tom.
He was a great supporter of you all; family, his church, the farming & wider Kaponga/Kapuni community. A great friend & neighbour who touched so many.
He & Val had a great friendship with Mum & Dad.
I remember his presence was always noted at events as quiet but when he laughed it was so great to hear a good chuckle. A lovely man.
May he rest in peace. Kathryn

On behalf of the Kissick family. Apologies for our belated condolences to the Gibson family. We have enjoyed a great lifelong bond with Tom and Val, through the Kapuni community, the Kaponga Parish and everything farming
particularly with Kiwi Dairy Co.
Pam and I appreciated Toms support when we started our farming careers, and fondly remember him calling in home to meet our Kyran and in his words "wet the sprogs head"
Please accept our sincerest sympathy on Tom's passing.

To the Gibson families and to Tom´s sisters, heartfelt sympathy to you at the sad passing of a truly great man. A man who put in 100% in all that he did . We have fond memories of Dad & Father Garty keeping your Dad company on day trips to Wellington when he was on the dairy board and had meetings to attend.
RIP

Sad news with Tom's passing. Memories of those good years of the Kapuni and Kaponga we knew in the 70's. His innovative farming- so ahead of the times- first to hit a 'cow to the acre mark with 400 of each I believe- the yellow Impala zooming around- and the giant gentleman that he was. I can still see he and Val hurrying up the path at St Pat's to to honour a friend. THey were never too busy to take the time to remember and support those who formed 'their' community. Such a neat couple- such a neat family. Rest in peace Tom- we wont meet on the bridge at Stratford's King Edward Park anymore, but the sun will shine gently on your fields, and your Lord will hold you in the palm of his hand.

Our thoughts go out to the Gibson family. I´m glad I called in last week and had a great catch up with Tom chatting about old times. We learnt a lot from a highly knowledgeable Man in the 20 years of employment with Tom and Val. Won´t forget the good memories we had on the farm. What a great man.

All of Tom & Val´s family will be so proud of their dad who has been a massive contributor to the Kaponga/Kapuni community.
He was always a great supporter to our family as we grew up and worked alongside with Tom and his farming enterprises.
Tom is remembered fondly for his great involvement in the local Kapuni School and local church at Kaponga.

Condolences to the Gibson family. Tom will be missed by many. I had the pleasure of working for Tom in the early 1980´s. He had so much vision and farmed ahead of the times. There were many good conversations with Tom and Val over the evening dinner that Val always prepared.
